Age verification (18+, UK)
This page sets out the age-verification declaration that every buyer signs at checkout. It is reproduced here so that the full text remains accessible outside the cart flow. A copy of the declaration as signed is retained for six years against the corresponding order in the Lab's consent register.
1. Age
The Buyer confirms that they are 18 years of age or olderas of the date of the order. Sale to a person under 18 is refused as a matter of policy and as a matter of the Lab's commitment to responsible supply.
2. UK residency and delivery address
The Buyer confirms that they are resident in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland), and that the billing and delivery addresses supplied are valid addresses within the United Kingdom. The Buyer further confirms that they are not placing the order on behalf of any minor or any person resident outside the United Kingdom.
3. Proof of age at dispatch or delivery
The Lab and/or its carrier may, at its discretion, require proof of age in the form of a valid government-issued photographic identity document at the point of dispatch or on delivery. The carrier may refuse handover where such proof is not produced by a person reasonably appearing to be aged 18 or over. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- UK or EEA passport
- UK photocard driving licence (full or provisional)
- PASS-accredited proof-of-age card
Where age cannot be verified at handover, the carrier will return the parcel to the Lab. The Lab may then, at its discretion, cancel the order and return the price paid (less return-postage cost where applicable), or arrange re-delivery on terms satisfactory to the Lab.
4. Not on behalf of a third-party minor
The Buyer confirms that the compounds will not knowingly be supplied or made available to any person under the age of 18. The Buyer is solely responsible for the safe storage of the compounds in their possession.
5. False declaration
A false declaration as to age or residency may constitute a fraudulent misrepresentation under UK law and may render the contract of sale voidable at the Lab's option. The Lab may cancel the order and return the price paid (less return-postage cost where applicable), and may decline to accept any further order from the same buyer.
6. Electronic signature
The Buyer's tick of the consent box on the cart page, together with the signature drawn on the canvas at checkout, constitute an electronic signature within the meaning of section 7 of the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and are intended to have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature on a paper declaration.
