Food Supplement Acknowledgement
Optimal Lab sells two quite different things, and this page is about the second of them. Most of the catalogue is research compounds, which are not for human consumption and carry the research-use-only acknowledgement. The sports-nutrition supplements are food, sold for human consumption in the ordinary way.
A buyer whose order contains supplements is not asked to declare that food is not for human consumption. This is the acknowledgement they sign instead. The wording shown at the moment of signing is the wording that binds; an exact copy is stored against every order for six years.
1. What you are buying
These goods are sports-nutrition food supplements manufactured by PER4M Nutrition and resold by Optimal Lab. They are food, intended for human consumption, and they are not research chemicals. The research-use-only restriction that applies to the compound catalogue does not apply to them.
2. They are not medicines
Food supplements are not licensed medicines under the Medicines Act 1968 or the Human Medicines Regulations 2012. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and no such claim is made for them.
3. No dietary or medical advice
Optimal Lab supplies no dietary plans, training protocols, or medical advice with these goods, whether on this website or in correspondence. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescribed medication, or under medical supervision should speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian before use.
4. Use as directed, and allergens
Follow the manufacturer's directions and stated serving size on the product's own label, and do not exceed it. Where you have an allergy or intolerance it is your responsibility to read the manufacturer's ingredient and allergen declaration on the tub before use. Optimal Lab resells these products in the manufacturer's sealed packaging and does not repackage, decant, or relabel them.
5. Sport and competition
Optimal Lab makes no representation that any supplement is certified for use under any anti-doping code. If you compete under such a code, checking a product's status is your responsibility.
6. Returns
These goods are sealed for food-hygiene reasons. Under regulation 28(3)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 the 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to a tub whose seal has been broken after delivery. An unopened, sealed tub may be returned within 14 days under the Terms of Sale. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Electronic signature
Ticking the consent box and drawing a signature on the canvas at checkout constitute an electronic signature within the meaning of section 7 of the Electronic Communications Act 2000, and are intended to have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature on a paper acknowledgement.
