Terms of sale
These terms govern every order placed with Optimal Lab ("the lab", "we", "us"). By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them.
1. Who can buy
- Catalogue compounds are sold strictly for laboratory research, in-vitro experimentation, and analytical reference use.
- You must be 18 years or older and resident in the United Kingdom to purchase.
- You confirm at checkout that the compounds will not be administered to humans or animals.
- The lab reserves the right to refuse any order at its sole discretion.
2. Nature of the catalogue
- Compounds are not licensed medicines. They are not regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for any therapeutic indication.
- No dosing protocols, administration instructions, or therapeutic claims are provided by the lab or its staff.
- Reconstitution arithmetic published on this site is a research-procedure calculation, not an instruction for use.
- Every batch is tested by our supplier Janoshik and shipped with a lot-matched certificate of analysis. Per-lot certificates available on request.
3. Orders and acceptance
Placing an order constitutes an offer to buy. The lab accepts the offer when an order-confirmation email is sent. Until that point, no contract exists. The lab may decline to accept any order without giving reasons.
4. Prices and payment
- All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is taken in full at checkout. We do not store card details; payment is handled by a third-party processor.
- If a pricing error is identified after order placement, the lab will notify you and offer to honour the listed price, supply a corrected quote, or cancel the order and return any payment made in full.
5. Dispatch and delivery
- Dispatch happens on working days only, after the lot has cleared QC release.
- Standard delivery is Royal Mail Tracked24 with age-verification on receipt.
- Risk passes to the buyer on delivery. Damage in transit must be reported within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence.
- The lab is not liable for delivery delays caused by Royal Mail, customs, or force majeure.
6. Returns and replacements
See the separate returns policy. Briefly: most catalogue items are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period under regulation 28(3)(a) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — sealed goods unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Faulty or mis-shipped items are replaced at no charge, and your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
7. Limitation of liability
- The lab's aggregate liability under any single order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
- The lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.
8. Compliance and misuse
- Any onward sale, distribution, or administration of catalogue items in breach of UK law is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
- The lab will cooperate with the MHRA, Trading Standards, HMRC, and law enforcement in any investigation of suspected misuse.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, save that a consumer-buyer resident elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in the courts of their residence.
10. Changes
Material updates will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Orders are governed by the version of these terms in force at the time of order placement.
